SEPANG : Malindo Air flight OD1027 from Kota Kinabalu, carrying 110 passengers, made a historic touch down at the spanking new RM4bil KLIA2 here.

Being the first aircraft to land at the world's largest purpose-built low-cost terminal at 12.10am Friday, Flight OD1027 was given a grand welcome with water cannons spraying the aircraft.

With KLIA2 officially commencing operations, Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Ab Aziz Kaprawi said everything had been running smoothly and according to schedule.

"This is a historic moment with the arrival of the first airplane in the new airport," he said.

The first flight to take off from KLIA2, which was scheduled at 1.20am, was the Manila-bound Cebu Pacific Airways flight 5J502.

However, Malaysia Airports managing director Tan Sri Bashir Ahmad said the flight was delayed as the aircraft arrived late from Manila.

As Flight 5J502 only arrived at 2am, it was then scheduled to depart at 3.15am.

Bashir gave the assurance that "the whole airport is safe."

Anchor tenant AirAsia is expected to move its operations from the low-cost terminal by May 9. Airlines now operating out of KLIA2 are Malindo Air, Cebu Pacific Airways, Lion Air and Tiger Air.

Over 7,000 passengers are expected to fly in and out of the airport daily for the initial phase of the operations.

This number is expected to increase to 50,000 from May 9 onwards with AirAsia's move to the new airport.

Ways for your heart to stay healthier

fruits @ vegetables  .. another option prepared as juice drinks

The heart beats around 3 billion times, nonstop, in the average human lifetime. Your heart sustains you, providing life-giving oxygen and nutrients via your bloodstream to all parts of your body. So, what have you done for your heart lately?
Here, we offer natural strategies for boosting heart health, and improving your overall wellness.

Exercise to support your ticker. We often believe that exercising more and faster is better. Not so. The National Institutes of Health has found that lower-intensity exercise (staying just below your target heart rate) is healthier than exercise that's high stress and high intensity. Research found that athletes who overdo it can develop scarring of the heart over time.

Take time to rejuvenate in nature. Stress is bad for the heart. At least once a day, if you can, head outdoors to breathe deeply and connect with nature. Doing anything outside, whether it's taking a hike or sitting in the park, significantly reduces stress hormones and lowers your blood pressure, which benefits your heart—and your mood.

Connect with friends and loved ones. How is being in community with loved ones good for the heart? Connecting with others helps you keep a positive attitude even in the middle of stressful life challenges. The heart is the seat of your emotions; it's where love, bonding, connection, and intimacy originate. By spending time with others, you have the opportunity to give and receive love, and that's good for the heart too!

Eat more heart-healthy foods. There are certain foods that are heart protective because they contain omega 3 and other healthy fats, critical vitamins and minerals, and fiber and phytonutrients that help keep heart tissues healthy. Here's a partial list of foods you should eat more of: salmon, ground flaxseed, oatmeal, black or pinto beans, raw almonds and walnuts, and brown rice. Among the many heart-healthy fresh fruits and vegetables, these are especially beneficial: orange vegetables, spinach, broccoli, tomatoes, asparagus, citrus and blueberries.

Get 6-8 hours of sleep. A recent study published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology found that getting too little or too much sleep is bad for the heart, increasing your risk for heart disease. However, there's another good reason to work on getting the right amount of sleep: Sleep washes away any negatives from the day before and helps you feel charged up and ready to go for the next day. It's really true that troubles always seem easier to deal with after a good night's sleep!

Laugh, smile, play. To high-tech modern ears, it may seem silly to laugh your problems away. But scientists have found ample evidence for the health benefits of lightheartedness and optimism for healing and fighting off illness. Seeking happiness-producing activities is a good way to relieve stress and boost your mood—and heart health. Give it a try this month. It will do your heart good.

MH#370 .. 25 March 2014

From Star online dated : Tuesday 25th March 2014

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysia Airlines MH370 plane, missing for 18 days, has gone down in the southern Indian Ocean at a remote location west of Perth.
Making the sombre announcement here last night, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said this conclusion was based on new analysis by satellite company Inmarsat and the UK Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) on the satellite data provided.
“Using a type of analysis never before used in an investigation of this sort, they have been able to shed more light on MH370’s flight path.
“Based on their new analysis, Inmarsat and the AAIB have concluded that MH370 flew along the southern corridor and that its last position was in the middle of the Indian Ocean west of Perth.
“This is a remote location far from any possible landing sites,” said an ashen-faced Najib to a room packed full of reporters at the Putra World Trade Centre.
Inmarsat had provided the satellite data which earlier indicated the northern and southern corridors as possible flight paths of MH370.

Painful news: Najib speaking during the press conference at the Putra World Trade Centre. Looking on are Hishammuddin (right) and Azharuddin.
Flanked by Acting Transport Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman and Civil Aviation Department director-general Datuk Azharuddin Abdul Rahman, Najib told the stunned reporters:
“It is therefore with deep sadness and regret that I must inform you that according to this new data, flight MH370 ended in the southern Indian Ocean.”
Najib said he had been briefed on the conclusion by AAIB earlier in the day.
Malaysia Airlines, said the Prime Minister, had already spoken to the families of the 239 passengers and crew members to inform them of the new development.
“For them, the past few weeks have been heartbreaking. I know this news must be harder still,” he said, urging the media to respect the families’ privacy and allow them the space they needed at “this difficult time”.
A press conference will be held today to provide further details.
Najib said the Malaysian Government wanted to inform the media about the new development at the earliest opportunity.
“We share this information out of a commitment to openness and respect for the families – two principles which have guided this investigation,” he added.
Najib, who read out a prepared statement, did not take questions. MAS chief executive officer Ahmad Jauhari Yahya was seen crying as the announcement was made.
As soon as Najib left the auditorium, a Shanghai Radio reporter broke down sobbing as he relayed the news by telephone to his colleagues.
The reporter fell to his knees and continued crying as others crowded around him.
“I’m sorry. This is just so sad,” he said, apologising.

VISIT MALAYSIA 2014 ... WHAT THEY FORGET ?

This year been declared by Government as VMY 2014 but they forget to highlights to the public , Petrol Kiosk operators and local restaurant owners to take care of their toilets . From my observation , things not really impressive since most of the toilets stink and smelly ! especially the petrol kiosk . Past few year , Petronas Petrol kiosk has the most cleanest toilet but nowadays they are the worst !! But thumb up to the high ends shopping complex and the airports .

My suggestion :

1. Make a score cards on level of toilet cleanliness .
2. Privitisation all the toilets including petrol kiosk and local restaurant .
3. Introduce " fine " and " reward " not ONLY condition of the restaurant but also specially for toilet hygience .

" KEBERSIHAN ITU SALAH SATU DARI IMAN "

Campagain done but the enforcement ????

one of the cleanest toilet at Giant , Kijal , Kemaman !

EAST COAST TOWNS EXPERIENCED LOW TEMPERATURE , MALAYSIA

At 2 pm ... at LPT , Gambang still foggy ... temperature around 24 Degree C

East coast towns to experience low temperatures

PETALING JAYA: Planning to go for a hill station holiday? In the next two days, places like Kuantan and Batu Embun in Pahang and Kuala Krai in Kelantan will experience minimum temperatures of 19°C, similar to that of Cameron Highlands and Genting Highlands.

According to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MMD), the dip in temperature is due to the cold winds from Northeast monsoon and this is not the first time such a phenomenon has occurred.

“The temperature fluctuates from time-to-time and during the Northeast monsoon, such minimum recordings is usual and has happened many times during the season,”

Reports claimed that Perlis also experienced such temperatures but the MMD has said that the temperatures are normal.

The MMD reported that from Jan 18-21, the average temperature for Kuantan was 22.1°C, Kuala Krai 21.8°C, Batu Embun 22.1°C and Kota Bharu 23°C while Northern districts like Alor Setar, Kedah and Chuping, Perlis recorded 22.4°C and 23.3 °C respectively.
