Day 7 ( Mountain Soeraksan )
Initially when we plan to Korea in December , we expected there was a snowing , but it didn't due to world warming effect . So we make decision to visit Mountain Soeraksan which took us 2 hours to go there ( Dong Seoul to Sokcho ) . We went there by bus which we took from Dong Seoul bus station . It cost us 98,000 won for 6 of us . Along the journey we can see a very nice scenery . Our roads lead us more towards mountain area and at some place , surprising we can see the snow . We feel very excited since for most of us , this is the very first time we see the snow in real life , what a beautiful view ! Praise to Allah !
We reached Intercity Sokcho bus station at 11 am , from there we took a bus direct to Mount Soeraksan . We can see a lot of tourist over there . For a nice view , we went to top of the mountain with a cable car . My sons and daughter really enjoyed playing snow balls and sledding on the snow at that area . Actually , Mount Soeraksan is the highest mountain in the Taebaek mountain range in the Gangwon-do Province to the east of South Korea . The Daechongbong peak of the mountain reaches 1,708 meters and crystal clear water flows down from the rock formation into ponds in the valleys and waterfalls .We spent almost 4 hours over there before heading back to Seoul for another 2 hours trip . Well ! really enjoyed the day ......
